A visit to the Danish Design Museum: check! Denmark has a rich history of design and craftsmanship. That’s also what the Danish Design Museum is about. Showing what ‘they’ (Denmark) are known for. The building itself is close by Nyhavn, the famous harbor with the colored houses. It’s an old/ characteristic building, both inside and outside. They show a wide spectrum of contemporary Danish design (furniture, product-, graphic- and fashion design, as well as design for public spaces). Some famous design innovators that are represented in the museum are: Arne Jacobsen (chair, lamps) and Børge Mogensen (chairs). The museum is a sort of 'collection point' of the Danish design history.

The moment I visited the museum, there was also an exhibition ‘I Am Black Velvet’ of fashion designer Erik Mortensen (former Balmain designer). An overview of his work, processes and clients.

So, if you’re a fan of Danish Design and their heritage! Visit Design Museum Denmark! I mean, I loved it!
